  • Avon Walk for Breast Cancer
    Whose Mission is:  
    to raise money in providing women and men the breast cancer screening, support and treatment they need regardless of their ability to pay, and so that leading-edge research teams across the country can be powered by the funds they need to fuel their quest for a cure - all because of you!   Are you In It To End It?

    The Buzz previously supported Debbie Metz of Metz Electric - She walked on behalf of her Mother - While this years area walk has already passed, if you want to to donate or help raise funds for future races please hit the link below and type in her name under

    St Jude 5k 
    A scenic 5K loop around Baker Park, with all proceeds going directly to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.  At St. Jude all patients accepted for treatment are treated without regard to the family's ability to pay.  The race will begin promptly at 8:00 AM on 16 October, 2010  and is open to the general public. Auxiliary police officers from the City of Frederick will be there to direct traffic along the route. Music will be playing the entire time to help get you pumped up, and to keep you pushing all the way through to the finish line, where there will be some delicious refreshments waiting for you! Every runner and walker will also receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win some exciting prizes!
